MAHRMM generally hosts two in person conferences per year, in the spring and fall.
The spring conference is typically a one-day event in May that allows members to have a good, low cost/high value conference without having the lodging expenses.
The fall conference is typically over two days and allows for greater networking during the first evening.
The education committee invites industry participants to share insights on a variety of topics for all levels of our membership: students, new and existing supply chain professional looking for opportunity for advancement, as well as thought leaders in supply chain or other industries who can help to grow our profession.
Conferences are organized thematically on topics of interest to our profession. Most recently our conferences focused on disaster planning and the importance of business continuity, fraud detection, and new ways of doing business under times of disruption
COVID provided an opportunity to consider how we can continue to provide educational content beyond our in-person conferences.
Most recently we have worked closely with Wayne State University to provide education content to our members during shorter session using an online format. This format allowed us to stay connected with our membership and connect with university students interested in a career in Health Care Supply Chain. Content covered our industries efforts and response to the global disruptions posed by the pandemic with a focus on skills and knowledge we need to develop and nurture.
If you have an idea for a presentation or are interested in joining the education committee to support our educational outreach, please contact us
